Terminals may be sited in different locations, such as remote gatehouses, control is easily achieved with TouchViews remote networking capability. The cost saving with this powerful facility can be significant. Remote sites may be monitored by fastscan transmission, which is supported by this system.

With the operators using their equipment efficiently, running costs are dramatically improved. OPERATIONS CONTROL

  
     
 

TouchView is the completer security control system. The system incorporates a real time audit trail, logging all devices under an operators control with a time stamp as a command carried out. Supervisors can review events relating to a particular incident. An accurate time stamp may be provided via an off air Rugby time signal, syncronising all clocks on the system.

Each operator can be assigned a PIN number in order to log on or off the system, this also restricts access to programming functions. TouchView is easily programmed to carry out routine observations, the Timed Database facility can automatically send cameras to preset positions or tours. Forced operator routines will ensure completion of remote guard tours and other mandatory functions. This system also features automatic monitor sequences allowing pre-set camera sequences, for particular areas of the site, to be viewed on designated screens.

  
     
     
 

SCREEN CONTROLS

  
     
  High resolution colour graphics of site plans and mimics, represent the survey areas and cameras. With TouchView, pre-set zones can be displayed graphically, providing instant one touch camera repositioning. The touchscreen terminal may also be used to display video images, alongside control functions, eliminating the necessity for additional monitors.  
     
     
 

CLEAR CONTROL

  
     
  TouchView uses leading edge touchscreen technology and operates on Pentium hardware, running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Edition., making it extremely user friendly. Clear maps and multi-layer mimic diagrams provide simple camera, video recorder and multiplexer control via graphical on-screen buttons, with a single action. Alternatively, camera pan and tilt functions may be carried out using a joystick control. With TouchViews on-screen nudge facility the operator can make fine adjustments to a selected camera. High speed dome cameras will also interface directly with this system. Our customer Configurable Mimic Module allows you to write your own camera mimics, saving costly supplier rewrites and additions.

TouchView can easily be retro fitted to existing installations. Upgrading to TouchView is a cost effective method of expansion, solving the problem of a cluttered working environment, which has become difficult to use. Installing TouchView will allow remote storage of equipment and streamline the operation of your control room. ALARM CONTROL

  
     
 

CCTV control rooms may monitor other electrical security systems including Fire or Intruder Alarms and Access Control. TouchView can also support these systems putting the operator in full control, and even custom alarm modules may be incorporated such as building management and lift monitoring. Alarm systems can also be integrated with camera functions, allowing automatic switching to an alarmed area. TouchView may be programmed to send alarm information or status reports to personnel away from the control room via text pager, printer or fax.

  
     
     
 

VEHICLE CONTROL

  
     
 

As an optional extra TouchView may be specified with ESSA's Automatic Number Plate Recognition Module. The resulting fully integrated package negates the need for a stand-alone system to monitor traffic, allowing access to both systems from a single terminal. The ANPR system receives image and data files from any number of plate readers and stores the information on a database or it may be archived to a CDROM. There are several search facilities available to review the database for specific information. Principally, this is done by Time/Date and Number Plate, the latter with a wildcard character facility to assist with damaged or dirty plates. Our system also features an alarm function, by which the operator can programme for specific offender number plates.
